What data DoseGuard stores

DoseGuard stores the following information locally on your device to provide medication reminder functionality:

• Medication names, dosages, and schedules you enter
• Dose logs (when you mark a medication as taken, skipped, or not sure)
• Notes you attach to individual doses
• Medication group configurations
• Family member profiles you create
• App settings and preferences (reminder sounds, quiet hours, theme)
• Pill photos you take or select
• Purchase status (whether you have purchased DoseGuard)

Where your data is stored

All data is stored locally on your device using encrypted on-device storage. DoseGuard does not operate any servers and does not transmit your data over the internet.

If you choose to enable the optional backup feature, your data is exported to your own iCloud account (on iOS) or Google Drive account (on Android). This backup is controlled entirely by you. DoseGuard does not have access to your cloud storage account and cannot read your backups.

What data DoseGuard does NOT collect

• DoseGuard does not collect analytics or usage data
• DoseGuard does not use tracking pixels, cookies, or advertising identifiers
• DoseGuard does not share data with third parties for any purpose
• DoseGuard does not use your data for advertising or marketing
• DoseGuard does not require an account or email address to function
• DoseGuard does not integrate with HealthKit, Health Connect, or any external health platform

In-app purchases

DoseGuard offers a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple or Google. DoseGuard does not process payments directly and does not have access to your payment information (credit card number, billing address, etc.).

DoseGuard stores a local record of your purchase status (purchased or not purchased) to unlock app features. This record does not contain any payment details.

Notifications

DoseGuard uses local notifications to remind you to take your medications. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. They are not sent through any external server or push notification service. No notification data leaves your device.

Children's privacy

DoseGuard does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app can be used by caregivers to manage medications for family members of any age, but no personal data is collected or transmitted regardless of the user's age.

Data deletion

You can delete all DoseGuard data at any time by:

• Deleting individual medications or profiles within the app
• Using the "Delete All Data" option in app Settings
• Uninstalling the app from your device (removes all local data)

If you have created cloud backups, you can delete those directly from your iCloud or Google Drive account.

Changes to this policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated through an in-app notice.
